Lost Memories

Hiroko sighed as she trudged along in the warm sand. She couldn't deny that traveling in the desert was beautiful, but it seemed to bore her after watching the same hills of sand dip up and down and up and down and over and over and over again. She yawned lazily and continued playing with the sand, making little twisters and high winds that blew dust everywhere.

"I wonder if I can make a sandstorm?" she thought aloud, the expression on her face tired. "Ugh, this desert is like a neverending nightmare!! I better find that stupid tomb soon or I swear I'm going to die of exhaustion!!"

She groaned and plopped down on the gold grains below her. "I feel like I'm in an hour glass. As time goes out I'm wasting away..." she whined as she rolled over onto her stomach. She made a huge gust of wind that pulled up a few layers of sand off the surface of the ground and sent them flying in the direction of some rocks.

"I HATE THE DESERT I HATE THE DESERT I HATE THE DESERT!!!" she screamed, though she was quickly quieted by the sound of crunching earth a few feet off.

Hiroko turned, startled, toward the stoney formations a little ways in front of her. "What was that?? Is someone here?" she wondered, her golden eyes alighting with curiosity. "Out in the desert? They must be insane too..." She daintily got up and crept soundlessly toward the boulders, careful not to give her position away just yet.

"Uhm, excuse me? Is there anyone there?" she called out cautiously, unsure as to whether or not the presence would be a friendly one.

She hoped it would be friendly.

Ryoga looked around hearing footsteps, he quickly hid behind on of the larger boulders."have they come so soon?...I was sure this place would have been perfect to hide out for awhile."he thought all the while making sure he could fight back."I'll have to end this quick...but I can't use "Reverse Genesis untill tomorrow" he looked around and above all the while thinking of a strategy." I'm not getting any signs of this being a demon or a group...but if its a human why would they be out so far in the desert?...no matter...I'll just be prepared for the worst" he sighed, holding his pendant before he gathered a palm full of fire, ready to launch.

As the girl spoke, Ryoga held a look of surprise on his face."that...was...unexpected...okay this doesn't seem to bad" he then stepped out and smiled at the girl."I'm sorry...just travelling around...I like to come here for alittle relaxation...my name is Ryoga...just call me Ryo" he replied

"Coming here for relaxation is not an answer I'm willing to believe, Ryo," she replied skeptically, not taking any more steps toward the stranger. He had seemed shocked not by her presence in general, but by who she was in particular. Was he waiting for someone? And out here of all places?

"This place is hot and unforgiving. Why would you ever want to rest here?" she questioned, cocking her head curiously at the man. "Though if you are indeed traveling, there must be a reason for passing through this desert."

Ryoga laughed nervously before ending it with a sigh."i'm...not exactly human and because of it i have a few enemies....it really isn't safe to be around me...the heat isn't really a problem." replied Ryoga looking down most of the time." she is very insightful...more so than any normal human. he opened his mouth to explain why he was here but closed it quickly not knowing what to say"I've already wasted time...they could be here any minute."he held his pendant and closed his eyes for awhile but then opened then up again."so what brings a girl into the desert...most girls I've met wouldn't even come here without some form of transport."
