Pokemon Gijinka Rp

Professor Baobab, in an effort to demonstrate how humans should treat pokemon like people, created a solution, a "medicine", he called it, for human cruelty, that turned pokemon into humanoid versions. Like so:




He tried it on his Magicarp, Clara. After a night in pain, Clara woke up humanoid, with unmistakable Magicarp characteristics. She caught on to speech quickly. After showing her to the world, the people, at first shocked, slowly began to understand what he was trying to demonstrate.

Until Team Rocket 2.0, a gang with no connections to the previous one, but which wanted world domination in a way that the original could not accomplish, stole both Clara and the solution. Their scientists tweaked it into a disease, which is similar to it's original composition, but was now infectious. After Changing their own Pokemon, they began their campaign. Humans were unable to resist the Changed pokemon, most of which looked like young teens and children, as Team Rocket 2.0 had never seen the point of old pokemon. Trainors were too afraid to pit their own Pokemon against them. However, one pokemon, the most recently Changed, was still infectious, though Team Rocket 2.0 was not aware of this, and it infected a pokemon confiscated from a trainor. Its cage was meant to hold pokemon, not humans, and it escaped. Soon, many pokemon were infected.

10 Years later, Kanto and Johto are under Team Rocket's control (they dropped the 2.0), and Hoenn was in the process, as people began to fight back. However, they were too strong for humans or pokemon, even together, to fight. Their only enemies are the Changed who, while many like the Change, do not approve of the tyranny of Team Rocket, or the suffering of their human friends. Fortunately, most of them have been caught. Unfortunately, most is not all.

You are a Changed pokemon, trying to pass as a human, or hiding in the wild of Hoenn. Are you trying to destry the evil organization? Or are you trying to escape to one of the Free Regions? Either way, be prepared to battle your way out, keeping your wits about you.





If anyone shows interest, I'll start the thread. I need at least one person, and the thread will be open to anyone to join. You can be any non-legendary, and you start off in Hoenn.


I got the pictures from this site, which has good examples of the gijinka pokemon: http://www4.atwiki.jp/hitec/pages/1.html It's in Japanese, but you can click on the numbers on the left, then right sides, which correspond to the pokemon's number, if you cannot read Japanese.

Since the Changed pokemon have a human brain and thus is usually smarter than the average pokemon, they are capable of remembering 6 moves. They are also capable of any ability the pokemon has in the anime or manga, such as breathing underwater or flying without the move fly, or some of the even amazing abilities.

Shiny pokemon are allowed, and pokemon may change into clothes other than the ones they may have been Changed into. However, if the clothes they change into do not match their pokemon colours (that is, if a Changed Pikachu had to change into a blue dress instead of a yellow one, for example), they find it highly uncomfortable, like wearing another's skin.

Great! That means we can start soon! Post your character bio, and tell me where you want your character to be in Hoenn, whether city, wild, hiding in some cave somewhere, etc. so that I can create a plausible start to our RP.

This is Luxray, #405. He has the ability to see through anything, with X-ray vision. Pretty cool, and useful. He has the special ability of either Intimidate, which halves his enemy's attack, or Rivalry, which either doubles his attack if he fights a boy, or halves it, if he fights a girl. (or vice versa if you play a girl). I think the latter would be nice for roleplaying, but you don't have to use that one, or any special abilities, since this is a roleplay, not the video game. so i can use pokemon i already know? sweet! I may do a rapidash and a dragonair. Ill have to reread up on them but i can dig the old pokemon.

Yes, any pokemon from any generation and region is allowed, so long as they aren't legendary. Fy, you also need to put your powers in your character sheet. Saphira's example is better than mine currently, as she has the move accuracy in power as well. I myself am going to modify my character's sheet as well. It doesn't need to be done immediately, but the sooner, the better. Here is a link with the information you'll need:

Also, Luxray has X-ray vision. You should add that as well. I'm sorry that the character sheets require so much information; I'm always finding out by looking at the two of yours that I've forgotten something or other in mine.

Ok I added the powers, I think 3 of them are TM/HM's though and Im not sure if that's allowed, or if we're allowed to add Egg moves too since my character was captured from the wild and I know some pokemon would naturally have egg moves, if so I wanted to use Night Slash as one of it's move. :O But idk what "HGSS only" meant on Serebii.net.

Any Pokemon moves that your Pokemon may possibly have. So, egg moves are fine, and if one's Pokemon has had an owner, TM/HMs are fine as well. HGSS only means that it was only in Heart Gold and Soul Silver. It doesn't really matter what game your Pokemon's move is from, as long as you aren't too overpowered with it. Those are great choices in moves, especially Thief, which I'm pretty sure will prove most useful.
