I might be alone in this but anyone else here into computers? I mean obviously you all USE computers haha but I mean building/upgrading/modding computers.

I've personally built all 4 computers at my house and love tinkering with em :3

I got a brand new Mac Book Pro a few months ago, the one with the 15.4" display.
God its a beautiful! Im like inlove with it. Except from the
fact that I dont have MSN YAHOO and AIM and have to download Adium for it which is sort of crappy.

Processor: Intel Core Duo Processor with 1066MHz frontside bus, 3MB shared L2 cache and 2.66GHz processor speed.
Motherboard: Lol I honestly dont know.
Graphics Card:NVIDIA GeForce 9400M with up to 256MB DDR3 memory and NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT graphics processor
RAM: DDR3 SDRAM 4GB DDR3 SDRAM expandable to 8GB
Case:Aluminum
PSU: Lithium-polymer battery (Lasts me about 5 hours)
Hard Drives: Serial ATA 5400 rpm (320 GB)

Custom built full tower desktop, top of the line about 4 1/2 years ago, starting to show it's age now

Processor (CPU): AMD Athlon 4000+ Socket 939 single core overclocked to 2.9Ghz (from 2.4) With a Xigmatek HDT S1283 Heatsink
Motherboard(if known): EVGA nForce4 SLi
Graphics Card(s)(GPU): ATI Radeon X850 XT Platinum Edition 256mb GDDR3 (cost about $280 new 5 years ago)
Memory(Ram): 2gbs G-Skill DDR-400 OC'ed to 500MHz
Case:Antec Twelve Hundred Full Tower
Power Supply(PSU): Antec Earthwatts 650 watt
Hard Drives(HDD): 2x Western Digital 500gb sata drives 2x Western Digital 320gb HDDs (1 sata 1 eide) 1x Maxtor 200gb sata HDD, 1x Western Digital 160gb sata HDD for 2tb total hard drive space.

It's also currently hooked up to a pair of 21 inch engineering grade CRT monitors (the BIG old ones <3 ) running 2048x1536 and 1600x1200 resolution ( better than 1080p high def )
Add my 280 watt 5:1 surround speakers to the massive storage space and beast res monitors and despite a somewhat dated GPD/CPU combo you have one bad ass multimedia rig (I can still add 3 more hard drives in my case btw, I'd just need to get another raid controller card since I'm out of sata ports on my board and the 2-slot raid card I have in there XD )

All this talk of laptops lol, I've only ever owned the largest and most un-portable of computer systems lol, Full Tower desktops with big CRT monitors <3 (full tower = 12 drive bays)

I swear my last two towers weighed over 50 pounds fully loaded haha

They are pretty awesome :3 I'm so glad my desk holds 2 towers and 4 monitors lol

Whee~ Just upgraded to a pair of Asus GeForce 9600 GSO's gonna have to wait till next paycheck to SLi these bad boys since they didn't come with an SLi bridge, but hey, they only $35 after mail in rebate, not bad for something that can be soft modded and overclocked up to the specs of a 9800 GT haha.

They do seem run a bit hotter than my old X850 but I think that's just the nature of the beast with newer graphics cards as my buddies 8600 GTS's run pretty hot too, but I think 2 120mm intake fans a 120mm exhaust fan and a 90 cfm pci slot blower should be able to take care of the heat =]

Hahaha woah. And I thought I knew how to run a computer..... I was just proven WRONG!!

lol been building computers since I was 12 so that helps ^^;

My brother build his own computer o.o what i learnd from that is its a pain cleaning the freeloading dust rabbits, that u cant touch carefreely inside as u have static electrisity, and laptops ftw im not realy intrested in all that Gforce stuff and that o.o but iknow whats useful or not

Aww man, I still had my old single core rig the last time I posted in this thread (My wife still has that case btw, although I've swapped the LED's to purple and green and it's alot more beat up)

My new monster is in an even bigger custom painted E-ATX tower with a Ryzen 1700X 8-core cpu, 32gb's of ram, an R9 290X gpu, 10tb of internal storage and 7tb external.

no more multi-monitor setup, but I am rocking a 55" 4.k screen now
